About Our Club |
Capital Communicators is Scotland's longest running Toastmasters club and we meet on alternate Tuesdays at 6:45 for a prompt 7:00pm start in the Quaker meeting House in Edinburgh's old town. The address is 7 Victoria Terrace, Edinburgh, EH1 2JL
Our meetings
Conquer your nerves and improve your presentations by getting you up on your feet and speaking in public. We offer cost-effective self-help training in a supportive and encouraging environment. The meetings are structured to maximise speaking opportunities and offer practise in both making prepared speeches and 'thinking on your feet' with helpful feedback.
Membership
Toastmasters clubs are open to anyone, and many professional entertainers and speakers started at a TMI club. We have members from all walks of life and ages in Edinburgh. The emphasis is on tolerance, learning and encouragement, so everyone wants to come back and perform again
We have a mentoring programme to get you started and excellent training materials to allow you to gain presentation and leadership qualifications that are recognised worldwide. You can try us out free of charge and come to three meetings before joining.

The Toastmasters Mission A statement of shared values
Every Toastmasters club shares the same mission, clearly defined in the following mission statement:
We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater selfconfidence and personal growth.
Through this mission, each Toastmaster gains a clear understanding of the club's purpose, and the organization as a whole benefits from a shared set of values and goals.
