It was a very good turn out, despite changeable weather outside which went from fine to torrential rain and back during the course of the meeting.
Wendy Benson was Toastmaster, and set the theme as Spring, possibly more in hope than reality given the unseasonal elements.
After Kaye Crush set out the role of Timekeeper and Michael John Smithson Grammarian, who gave us the word "sashay", Wendy passed us over to Paul Winfield for the warm up. Paul was attending a job interview the following day so asked for people's most memorable interviews.
We moved onto the speeches with David Cockeram doing his speech 6 "Throwing a curved ball", Wendy with a story with a moral, and Allan Wadsworth, speech 2, telling of his campaign against bicycles.
After an enjoyable network break we moved onto the evaluations by Keith Oliver, Brent Crouch and Gavin Meikle respectively.
Keith now set the Table Topics asking particiapants for their suggestions for articles with ideas for cooking with insects, decorative birdboxes and individual sports amongst others.
David Cockeram gave an evaluation of the Table Topics before Robin Chawner gave the General Evaluation.
Keith Oliver closed the meeting with club business, welcoming Kaye Crush and Sophy Smith as new members and handing out the awards. There followed photos for our soon to be operational Facebook page.
