Numbers were a little disappointing for out first meeting of 2013, but thsi didnt stop eveeryone having a fun evening. We welcomed David Close from Solent and also a new guest, John Harrison.

Brent set our word of the evening as aplomb, meaning to act with poise.

Zoe led our warm up on what we hoped to achieve thsi yer, before Gavin Meikle gave us a dummies guide to Easyspeak. Vasi then told us how he had been introduced to social media and Zoe explained her job ensuring quality at Lockheed Martin.

After the break Vasi led the tabletopics, asking volunteers to describe new uses for everyday objects, including a banana, pieces of cutlery and a stapler among many.

Gavin and Keith provided the evaluations, before Michael Johnprovided the general Evaluation of the evening.

At the awards we were pleased to hand out the first of the new Spinnaker bags.

Winners were - Best Speaker - Zoe,Best Evaluator - Gavin, Best TableTopics - Gavin
