Camulodunum (the historic name for Colchester) Club, the longest established club in the Area, welcomes guests to it's Monday meetings. In addition to the two 'normal' meetings each month (apart from December). We hold one additional meeting on a random Tuesday each month, which meets for a meal at a local pubs restaurant where they make a separate room available to us. Even taking about 40 minutes out of the meeting to eat th emeal we still manage to include two and sometime three speeches and a topics session, as would be found at the Monday meetings.
We follow the Toastmasters programme at ALL our meetings whilst aiming to enjoy ourself and ensuring that guests go home feeling that they have had the opportunity to take part in the meeting whilst getting an opportunity to inderstand the way our club operates.
Guests are welcome to attend two meetings before being asked to decide if they want to become members. The joining fee is £20.00 followed by a monthly membership fee of £10.00 paid by standing order. Once a member, then the opportunity to develop both leadership and communication skills will follow. Apart from being a friendly environment we aim to ensure an enjoyable but developmental experience for everybody that attends.
