Do work presentations fill you with dread?
Would you like to be a more confident speaker?
About Bray Toastmasters
We are a friendly, welcoming club, open to everyone over 18.
We are part of Toastmasters International; a non-profit educational organisation that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. We have been meeting in Bray since 1981!
We offer a safe and encouraging environment, and excellent personal development opportunities. Whatever your goals for speaking in public - whether for work, a BIG occasion or just personal development - we can help you exceed them!
When?
We meet on the First and Third Tuesday of every month, September to June.
Please arrive at 8:00pm for an 8:15 start.
Where?
We meet in the Open Door Centre, Vevay Rd., Bray, Co. Wicklow
There is free parking at the venue, and it is on the 45a, 84 and 184 bus routes.
The Meeting
Each meeting generally consists of some prepared speeches, a session called Table Topics, which allows us to practice speaking "off the cuff", evaluations of the prepared speeches and an evaluation of the meeting as a whole. While each meeting follows this set format, each meeting is unique as the roles are taken by different people each time.
We'd love to welcome you to one of our meetings and always welcome guests. If you'd like to visit, you can attend two meetings for free.
