What is Berkeley Square Speakers?
We are a public speaking club that helps people develop world-class, life enhancing presentation, communication and leadership skills. We are a part of Toastmasters International, a non-profit worldwide network of 15k clubs with over 300,000 members across 122 countries.
We meet every Wednesday morning between 7:30AM and 8:45AM (7:15 for a prompt 7:30 start) in two locations on Berkeley Square.
We typically have four short impromptu speeches known as 'table topics' followed by three longer prepared speeches lasting about seven minutes each. Both the table topics and the prepared speeches are evaluated by fellow members during the meeting so speakers and evaluators can improve their skills.
Why should you attend?
Berkeley Square Speakers will help you overcome your fear of public speaking in a supportive environment, give you a place to practice your presentations, prepare for wedding speeches, and develop into a top speaker for your career. It will also help you learn how to organise events, run productive meetings at your workplace, lead and manage a team and organisation, and build a network of professional contacts and personal friendships. |
