What's in it for you?
Toastmasters is a place where members are able to develop themselves personally and professionally.
Members are part of a like-minded community who learn by doing at Toastmasters meetings.
Whether you are an executive, a stay-at-home parent, a college student, a retiree or just someone who wants to explore the exciting world of public speaking - you will gain self confidence by learning how to effectively formulate, organize and express your ideas to others to express yourself in a variety of situations:
- giving better work presentations
- participating in and leading meetings
- improved confidence when speaking off the cuff and handling those one-on-one interactions with family, friends, and colleagues
You are warmly invited to visit us as a guest
You will be greeted by someone very friendly who will talk you through the evening.
You will experience a real meeting so that you can formulate your own opinion.
You do not have to speak publicly if you would prefer not to.
You will be invited to take an easy speaking part in the evening if you would like to give it a go.
There is no charge for coming to a meeting as a guest.
How does Toastmasters work?
Our club is one of more than 15,400 clubs located globally and meetings are friendly and supportive. Visitors, guests and members feels equally welcome and valued.
Meetings provide the forum to practice giving prepared speeches as well as deliver brief, impromptu presentations known as Table Topics.
Encouragement and improvement go hand-in-hand, constructive evaluation is central to the Toastmasters philosophy.
Each time you give a prepared speech an evaluator will point out your strengths as well as suggest improvements.
You will never be criticised because both receiving and giving helpful feedback are great learning experiences.
