District officer qualifications 

These are the prerequisites for District officers:

District Governor
At the time of taking office shall have served at least six (6) consecutive months as Club President and at least twelve (12) consecutive months as a Lt. Governor, Division Governor, or a combination thereof

Lt Governor Education & Training (LGET)
At the time of taking office shall have served at least six (6) consecutive months as Club President and at least twelve (12) consecutive months as a Lt. Governor, a Division Governor, or an Area Governor or a combination thereof

Lt Governor Marketing (LGM)
At the time of taking office shall have served at least six (6) consecutive months as Club President and at least twelve (12) consecutive months as a Lt. Governor, a Division Governor, or an Area Governor or a combination thereof

Public Relations Officer (PRO)
There are no minimum service requirements. However in District 71 the PRO alternates between being a member from Divisions B, E, G, H or J (i.e. Britain) and Divisions A, C, D or F (i.e. Ireland). For the year starting 1st July 2011 the PRO is from Britain.

Division Governor
At the time of taking office, shall have served at least six (6) consecutive months as a member of the District Council.

Area Governor
Insofar as practicable, at the time of taking officer shall have served at least six (6) consecutive months as a member of of the District Council.
