About Our Club |
Welcome To Abingdon Speakers
We are an established South Oxfordshire public speaking club, part of the worldwide educational movement that is Toastmasters International.
Abingdon Speakers chartered as a club in 2010 holding its first meeting in a South Oxfordshire pub called the The Kings Head and Bell. Since then we helped many people attain stellar achievements in their professional and personal lives through the power of communication.
°°° We are currently running "hybrid" meetings via Zoom and (socially-distanced) in person, You are welcome to join us, any way you can! °°°
Our main goal is to help you overcome fears of public speaking and develop your communication and leadership skills. We have a very informal approach and like to be as inclusive and approachable as possible. |

The Toastmasters Mission A statement of shared values
Every Toastmasters club shares the same mission, clearly defined in the following mission statement:
We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater selfconfidence and personal growth.
Through this mission, each Toastmaster gains a clear understanding of the club's purpose, and the organization as a whole benefits from a shared set of values and goals.
