Description How to register them
Category Efficient Organisation  Type

Dual, reinstated and transfer members

Dual members are those who join a Club when already registered at another Club, or more than one other Club, and continue their other membership/s. The same international fees are payable for them as any other member, as World Headquarters (WHQ) do not give a discount for multi-membership. Advanced Clubs often consist of dual members only.

Reinstated members are those who rejoin Toastmasters International after a break. They can pick up on the educational programme where they left off, even if previously at another Club.

Transfer members are those who transfer from one Club to another. (Transfer members entering a contest should ensure they belong to the Club they wish to represent at the time of the contest.)

REGISTRATION

New, dual and reinstated members can be registered online.
Transfer members can only be registered by email, fax or post to WHQ. To avoid this you can register the applicant online as a dual member in September or March, and then simply not renew the membership at the old Club the following month.

NEW MEMBER FEE
Dual, reinstated and transfer members do not need to pay a New Member Fee again unless another New Member Kit is required.

SEMI-ANNUAL DUES UPON JOINING
New, dual and reinstated members pay an initial pro-rata amount for the number of months up to the next semi-annual renewal date of 1st April or 1st October.
Transfer members do not pay any semi-annual dues until the next renewal date (provided they paid their old Club) when it should be ensured they are renewed by their newly joined Club and not the old one.
For new Clubs, members must pay a minimum 6 months of semi-annual dues - except transfer members; they simply renew on the next semi-annual renewal date of 1st April or 1st October.

The Membership Application form for existing Clubs (not new Clubs) can be downloaded here or, if you prefer one without dollar amounts, at the bottom of this page.

Information about starting new Clubs is here.
